ASAH members speak to FNSB Air Pollution Control Commission

Six members of the Advocates for Safe Highways (ASAH) team provided public comment about the Kinross trucking plan to the commissioners of the borough’s Air Pollution Control Commission (APCC) at their regular meeting on May 4, 2022 in the Noel Wein Library. All six expressed their concerns about the impact that hundreds of daily ore truck trips will have on the air quality in Fairbanks and North Pole, which the EPA classifies as being a “serious non-attainment area” for air pollution.
