The Transportation Advisory Committee consists of about two dozen members representing a wide variety of groups who will be impacted by the ore haul transportation and whose interests need to be incorporated into the analysis of the transportation plan. Anchorage-based CRW Engineering Group, LLC, has been hired as the meeting moderator.

The first meeting (May 9) consisted of introductions of all the members, an overview of the goals and considerations of the Tetlin to Fort Knox Corridor Study and a tentative timeline. The second meeting will cover the selection and prioritization of topics to be included in the Request For Proposal (RFP) that will go out for competitive bid in 4-6 weeks. The study itself will be done by a third-party contractor selected through the RFP process.
