Senate Bill 218, the bill that aims to establish a vehicle weight limit on Alaska roads, is set to be heard by the Senate Transportation Committee Thursday, March 14, 2024, beginning at 1:30PM. This hearing will give all interested parties the opportunity to voice their concerns regarding the bill and provide legislators input on how to move forward with this legislation.
If you are concerned about the increasing heavy vehicle traffic on our public roads and the financial and safety burdens that puts on our infrastructure and citizens, this is your opportunity to testify on this important legislation.
